Hyde Park plans 'Flood the Square with Love' rally for Sept. 12

The Hyde Park Neighborhood Council announced a "Flood the Square with Love" event on Saturday, Sept. 12, to support businesses hit by July flooding, while the church that hosts its meetings begins a months-long project to fix its own basement flooding.

Metro offers free rides, staffs schools as routes change Aug. 16

Metro will station staff at CPS orientation events and transit centers during the first week of school, Aug. 19-26, when parents can also ride free with students, as major route changes affecting the Oakley Transit Center and Route 51 take effect Aug. 16.

Hyde Park, Oakley library director named Ohio's Librarian of the Year

Paula Brehm-Heeger, director of the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library system that includes the Hyde Park and Oakley branches, has been named Ohio's 2026 Librarian of the Year by the Ohio Library Council for her work on the Facility Master Plan, literacy programs and statewide advocacy.
