Families in Hyde Park, Oakley and Mount Lookout can plan on a two-hour trick-or-treat window the evening of Saturday, Oct. 31, according to WLWT.
The City of Cincinnati designated 6 to 8 p.m. that night as the official residential trick-or-treat period. Because all three neighborhoods fall within city limits, the same hours apply across Hyde Park, Oakley and Mount Lookout. Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, so the window lines up with the holiday itself.
The compiled list of trick-or-treat times, published by WLWT reporter Matthew Dietz on Wednesday, Oct. 7, is still being updated as more communities confirm their schedules.
Hyde Park Square event is Oct. 24
The Oct. 31 residential hours are a separate event from Trick-or-Treat on the Square, the free annual gathering in Hyde Park Square set for Saturday, Oct. 24. Children can dress in costume and collect treats from participating shops and businesses throughout the Square. Costumes and treat bags are encouraged.
The event is free.
It centers on the neighborhood's walkable business district, central park and Kilgour Fountain. As of Thursday, Oct. 8, the event page had not posted specific start and end times. Families can check the Hyde Park Square website for updates.
Neighboring communities on the same schedule
Other Greater Cincinnati communities also listed Oct. 31, 6 to 8 p.m. as their trick-or-treat window on WLWT's list. They include Anderson Township, Indian Hill, Montgomery, Blue Ash and Springfield Township.
Findlay Market downtown is an exception: its trick-or-treat runs from 4 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 31, two hours earlier than the citywide residential window.
