Someone drove a black Chrysler 300 to a parked vehicle on the east side on July 27, and removed all four tires and rims before driving away.

The Cincinnati Police Department posted a photo of the suspect vehicle on X on Aug. 4, asking residents to help identify the driver. The car has black rims and dark-tinted windows, and the suspect may be a white male, according to CPD.

The department asked anyone with information to contact Det. Hert at 513-352-4568.

The exact street address has not been released. CPD's post was attributed to District 1, though the bulletin was tagged to Hyde Park, Oakley and Mount Lookout neighborhoods, which fall under District 2.

Oakley property crime up 41% year-to-date

The tire-and-rim theft is the latest in a string of property crime cases CPD has publicized on the east side this summer. East-side residents have seen similar cases recently, including a vehicle break-in and credit card theft on Loraine Avenue reported July 31 and two Oakley theft cases on East Seymour Avenue and the Kroger parking lot on Ferguson Road reported July 29.

Updated CPD data shows the broader trend. According to the department's Oakley neighborhood crime report updated Monday, Aug. 3, year-to-date Part 1 property crimes in Oakley reached 413 incidents through early August, a 40.96% increase over 293 in the same period last year. Personal and other theft drove most of that jump: 338 incidents so far in 2026, up nearly 58% from 214 in 2025.

Theft from auto also spiked in the most recent 28-day reporting window, July 5 through Aug. 1. CPD logged 11 incidents in that stretch, more than double the five recorded in the prior 28 days.
