The Cincinnati Police Department is asking Oakley residents to help identify suspects in two more theft cases, bringing the total number of active tip requests in the neighborhood to six in the past week.

CPD posted both bulletins on its verified @CincyPD account on X on Wednesday, July 22, alongside the four cases we reported Tuesday, July 28. Those earlier requests covered vehicle break-ins on Madison Road, an attempted theft on Marburg Avenue, a retail theft at Once Upon A Child on Paxton Avenue, and a porch package theft on Robinwood Avenue.

Here's what police say happened in the two additional cases:

Purse snatching at Kroger, Ferguson Road

On June 16, a suspect drove up in a grey Chevrolet Sonic to the Kroger parking lot at 2310 Ferguson Road and took a victim's purse, according to CPD's District 3 bulletin. The department published a photo of the suspect with the post.

Store theft on East Seymour Avenue

On Friday, June 26, a suspect entered a store at 1838 East Seymour Avenue and took multiple purses and clothing items without permission, according to CPD's District 4 bulletin. A suspect photo was included with the post.

The volume of active tip requests tracks with a broader spike in property crime. A CPD neighborhood crime report covering the 28-day period ending Saturday, July 4, shows personal and other theft in Oakley jumped 71.82% compared to the same period in 2025. That category was also up 57.60% compared to the three-year average.

Neither bulletin names the businesses or victims involved. CPD included suspect photos with both posts but has not announced arrests in either case.
