Withrow University High School's boys soccer team fell 2-0 at Norwood on Aug. 24, dropping the Tigers to 1-1 on the young season and ending a two-game road swing with a loss.
The shutout at Norwood High School was a sharp reversal from Withrow's season opener on Aug. 20, when the Tigers rallied from a 1-0 deficit to beat Deer Park 2-1. No comeback came this time.
The team's official account on X posted the final score afterward, saying the Tigers would regroup and get back to work heading into the home opener.
Individual goal scorers and statistical leaders were not available for either side.
Withrow now turns its attention to Wednesday's home opener against Hughes, scheduled for 7 p.m. at Withrow High School. It will be the Tigers' first match on their own pitch this season and a chance to get back above .500 before a quick turnaround at Madeira on Aug. 27, also at 7 p.m.
The Tigers entered the Norwood game looking to start 2-0. Instead, the Cincinnati Metro Athletic Conference squad heads into a busy stretch needing to find its footing at home.
