Maya Ramsay put two goals in the net on Aug. 20, powering the Clark Montessori Lady Cougars to a 3-1 home victory over Deer Park in their first win of the 2026-27 girls soccer season, according to the Clark Montessori Athletics account on X.

Ramsay opened the scoring in the first half, giving Clark a 1-0 lead it carried into the break. Deer Park equalized in the second half to knot the game at 1-1, but the Lady Cougars answered with a go-ahead goal that made it 2-1 with nine minutes remaining.

Clark added a late third to seal it.

The win moves the Lady Cougars to 1-1 on the young season. They opened Aug. 15 with a tough 8-1 loss to Seven Hills, a game in which Ramsay also found the net for Clark's only goal. Through two games, Ramsay has scored in every match, tallying three goals total.

The identity of the third goal scorer against Deer Park was not announced.

Clark Montessori travels to Dayton High School in Dayton, Kentucky, on Aug. 24, with a 6 p.m. start. The Lady Cougars then return home to host Finneytown on Aug. 29 at 1 p.m. before heading to Taylor on Aug. 31, at 6 p.m.
