Parkside, the Latin-inspired restaurant and bar on Hyde Park Square, will close its current location and move to a larger corner building nearby, with plans to reopen by spring 2027.

Owner Trevor Snowden told the Cincinnati Enquirer the new space will roughly double Parkside's footprint. The restaurant currently seats 48 at 2637 Erie Ave., the former Cork & Cap space it has occupied since opening in July 2023. The menu reflects Snowden's Peruvian heritage, blending classic pub food with Latin American flavors like empanadas and fish tacos with aji verde slaw.

Snowden, a Hyde Park resident and native Cincinnatian, now operates three restaurants in the area. He opened Delwood on Mount Lookout Square in 2019 and added Guardia, a pizzeria and cocktail bar next door to Delwood, in July 2025. When Parkside first opened, he told the Enquirer in July 2023: "When we opened Delwood in Mt. Lookout, it quickly became a neighborhood gathering place for folks that lived near Mt. Lookout square. We felt like we had an opportunity to bring a similar atmosphere to Hyde Park Square on this side of town."

The expansion is a significant bet on Hyde Park Square's commercial corridor at a complicated moment for the neighborhood. Two rounds of flash flooding on July 17 and July 21 damaged multiple businesses near the Square, including Neko Sushi, Dovetale Bakery and Poeme stationery, according to WCPO 9. Hamilton County's preliminary damage assessment found 29 businesses met FEMA's damage criteria. Cincinnati City Council voted Aug. 5 to double the city's flood relief fund to $2 million.

Poeme owner Kristen Folzenlogen told WCPO on July 18 that the pending Hyde Park Square development "is gonna happen exactly where this extensive flooding occurred," and called on the city, HPNC, the business district and the developer to solve the water issue before any ground is broken.

That development, filed by PLK Communities, The Loring Group and NorthPointe Group, proposes a six-story building with 161 apartments and 21,250 square feet of ground-floor retail and restaurant space on the south side of Hyde Park Square. The Hyde Park Neighborhood Council's Zoning Committee is reviewing the application. Hearing dates before the Cincinnati Planning Commission and City Council had not been set as of June.

The exact address of the new corner building and what will happen to the current 2637 Erie Ave. space after Parkside vacates have not been disclosed. Parkside remains open at its current location until the move.
