More than 70 colleges and career-training programs will fill Withrow University High School in Hyde Park on Monday, Oct. 19, for the CPS College Fair. The event is open to all Cincinnati Public Schools students and their families.
The fair runs from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Withrow, 2488 Madison Rd.
Representatives from colleges, universities, historically Black colleges and universities, technical colleges and trade programs will be on hand, according to the district. Families can meet recruiters, ask questions and begin building a list of prospective schools.
The College Fair is the first event of CPS College Week, which runs Oct. 19 through Oct. 23. The district described the week as covering what students and families need to know about attending, paying for and preparing for college and career paths, under the tagline "Beyond the Tassel," according to the CPS College Week page.
The event is not new to Withrow. Belinda Carson, Withrow's resource coordinator, told the Hyde Park Neighborhood Council in October 2025 that CPS schools were bused to Withrow for that year's district-wide fair. Carson said the event drew students from across the district, with buses bringing them to the Madison Road campus.
Withrow enrolls roughly 1,300 students and sits in the heart of Hyde Park, making it a familiar campus for east-side families. The district overall serves about 34,531 students across 66 schools. The fair's grade 6-12 range means middle schoolers from other CPS campuses can attend alongside high schoolers.
The event runs two hours. Families looking for a session schedule can check cps-k12.org/collegeweek.
