Alijah Moses returned an interception for a touchdown to seal Clark Montessori's 19-6 Homecoming victory over the Shroder Jaguars on Friday, Oct. 2, at Withrow High School.

The pick-six put the game away for the Cougars, who improved to 3-4 on the season, according to the team's account on X. It was a different Homecoming story than 2025, when Clark Montessori fell 27-6 to St. Bernard and dropped to 1-5.

The win marks the third victory of the season for first-year head coach Keilan Woods, who was named to the position in December 2025. Woods came to the Erie Avenue school after two seasons as defensive coordinator at Withrow High School.

Clark Montessori opened the year 0-2 with losses to Aiken and Summit Country Day before shutting out Finneytown 39-0 on Sept. 4 for Woods' first head coaching win. Losses to Gamble Montessori and Hughes followed, but the Cougars have now won two straight after beating Manchester 28-12 on Saturday, Sept. 26.

Athletic director Derek Williams told WCPO in early September that the theme of the 2026 season is a "New Day" under Woods.

"He's been a huge bright spot, bringing new life to the program," Williams said at the time.

The Cougars have won two straight and, at 3-4 with three games remaining, are well ahead of last year’s 1-5 Homecoming pace. At 3-4 with three games remaining, Clark Montessori is well ahead of last year's 1-5 Homecoming pace.

Clark Montessori travels to North College Hill on Friday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. The Cougars then host Norwood for Senior Night on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 6:30 p.m. at Withrow before closing the regular season at Cincinnati Country Day on Friday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m.
