Western Hills claimed the Cincinnati Metro Athletic Conference (CMAC) Girls Soccer Tournament championship Tuesday, Oct. 20, beating Hughes in the final.
The CMAC announced the result on X, congratulating the Mustangs and praising the Big Red for a strong match and season. The CMAC announcement did not include a final score.
The title is the second straight for Western Hills, which entered the year as the defending CMAC girls soccer champion, according to CMACstats.com.
Freshman Azeb Beyene helped power the Mustangs' run. She scored four goals in a 9-0 win over Hughes earlier in the season. The Cincinnati Enquirer nominated her for its big-school girls soccer player of the week Oct. 19.
The CMAC tournament wrapped the girls soccer conference season. Western Hills now holds back-to-back CMAC titles.
