Zion Vaughn scored three goals Sept. 8 as Clark Montessori boys varsity soccer shut out the SBEP Titans 6-0 at Seven Hills Lower Field.

Four Cougars found the back of the net in the 7 p.m. match, with Vaughn's hat trick headlining a second half in which Clark scored four unanswered goals to turn a competitive game into a blowout.

Vaughn got things started with 13:18 left in the first half, according to the Clark Montessori athletics account on X, which posted scoring updates throughout the match. Chris Riston doubled the lead before the break, and the Cougars went into halftime up 2-0.

The second half belonged to Clark.

Brandon Ross made it 3-0 early after the restart. A fourth goal extended the lead to 4-0, though the scorer was not identified in the team's live updates. Vaughn then completed his hat trick to make it 5-0.

Pablo Rosales put the finishing touch on the rout with the sixth and final goal, sealing the shutout.

The lopsided result gave the Cougars another strong showing in the early stretch of the 2026-27 season. Clark opened the campaign with a 1-0 win over Cincinnati Country Day on Aug. 18 at Withrow University High School. Results from games between that opener and the SBEP match were not available.

The Cougars return to action Thursday, Sept. 10, against Lockland at 6 p.m. at Withrow University High School.
